The success of a nail cap application depends almost entirely on the quality of the adhesive bond. Too little adhesive and caps fall off within days; too much and the adhesive squeezes out, hardening around the nail base and causing discomfort. Masked Claw Nail Cap Adhesive Glue is formulated specifically for vinyl nail cap application — with the right viscosity, set time, and bond strength to give nail caps maximum wearing time without over-application issues.
Each pack contains two 2 g tubes — enough adhesive for 2-4 full application cycles on all front paws. The glue has a controlled flow that deposits the right amount inside each cap when used correctly (filling approximately 1/3 of the cap). It bonds to the natural nail surface within 30-60 seconds and reaches full strength within a few minutes.
Fill each nail cap approximately 1/3 full — not more, not less. Excess adhesive is the most common application error and leads to adhesive hardening around the nail base. Extend the claw fully before applying the cap. Hold for at least 30 seconds. Allow 10-15 minutes for full curing before allowing the cat to walk on a licking surface.
How many applications per pack?
Approximately 2-3 full applications (all front paws) per pack of two tubes.
Can I use other adhesives?
Masked Claw adhesive is optimized for their caps. Third-party adhesives may work but proper viscosity for nail cap use is important — standard super glue sets too fast and is not recommended.
Having the right adhesive for nail cap application makes the difference between caps that stay put for the full 4-6 week cycle and caps that fall off within days. The Masked Claw Nail Cap Adhesive Glue is specifically formulated for vinyl nail cap application — with the correct viscosity, cure time, and bond strength to give nail caps maximum wearing time. Unlike hardware-store cyanoacrylate glues that may set too quickly or run excessively, this adhesive is optimized for the inside-cap application method that produces consistent, reliable bonds with every application.
The two-tube pack ensures you always have a backup tube on hand. Once a cyanoacrylate tube is opened, it gradually loses potency — having a second sealed tube available means your next application cycle doesn't suffer from degraded adhesive performance. Keep tubes sealed in a cool, dry place between uses to maximize shelf life.
Pro application tip: The most common error in nail cap application is overfilling — adding too much adhesive causes it to squeeze out around the base of the claw when the cap is pressed on, hardening into an uncomfortable ring of cured adhesive around the nail base. Fill each cap to approximately one-third capacity only. Press the cap firmly onto the extended claw and hold for a full 30-60 seconds before releasing.
