Adhesive residue from surgical tapes, bandage fixation products, and elastic adhesive bandages is a persistent problem in veterinary wound care. Residue left on skin or fur can cause dermatitis, attract dirt and bacteria, and make subsequent bandage adhesion unreliable. Mechanical removal — scrubbing or pulling — damages fragile healing skin and is painful for the patient. Millpledge Eaze-Off solves the problem chemically, dissolving adhesive residue without trauma so it lifts away cleanly with minimal patient discomfort.
Eaze-Off's active solvent formula penetrates adhesive bonds rapidly, typically dissolving residue within 30-60 seconds of application. The spray format allows targeted application directly to the residue site without over-wetting surrounding tissue. Available in 50 ml (for home use and infrequent clinical use) and 200 ml (for clinic use and multi-patient care).
Spray directly onto adhesive residue. Allow 30-60 seconds for solvent to penetrate the adhesive bond. Gently wipe away with a clean gauze or tissue. Repeat if significant residue remains. Avoid contact with open wound tissue. Rinse the area with clean water after residue removal to remove solvent traces.
Adhesive removers are underutilized in home wound care — many owners try to mechanically remove adhesive residue, causing unnecessary skin trauma in the process. Keep a bottle in your wound care kit and use it routinely after every bandage change that involved tape or EAB. The 50 ml size is ideal for home first aid kits; the 200 ml is better value for multi-dog households or those managing ongoing wound care.
