Why Luer Lock for SQ Fluids

For CKD subcutaneous fluid administration, Luer lock is the preferred standard because the needle won't disconnect under pressure as the fluid bag empties. The 20-60 mL sizes are well suited for one-handed administration of larger SQ fluid volumes through an extension set.
